About me....
My most important (and fun) job is being a great dad to my kids, while a close second is being a good husband and friend to my wife.
I have two wonderful kids, Emily and Kevin, of whom I am very proud. They are fun, lovable, loving, sweet, thoughtful and respectful (most of the time). I've been married to the same extraordinary woman for over 23 years.
I was the manager of a recreational girls softball team for 5+ years. Previously I was a boys soccer coach for 3 years and a Cub Scout den leader for a year sometime in between all of that. I love working with kids and seeing them have fun and grow as people. Each of these roles has been a teaching role AND a learning role for me. I've had the opportunity to teach the kids about their respective sports, the benefits of being active, good sportsmanship and how to have fun. Through this I have learned a lot about being resilient, overcoming obstacles, organization skills and the benefits of proper planning.
I was born and raised in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I lived in Woodside, Queens for about 10 years and have now lived in Mohegan Lake, NY for over 13 years. I am a true NY sports fan (Rangers, Mets, Jets and Knicks)...in that order.
I am currently a Business Analyst at the New York Life Insurance Company in Sleepy Hollow, NY. A strong company with good people with which to work. I am a member of the Life Insurance Product Services team, supporting the Variable Life products offered by New York Life. Having been aligned with and supporting the Customer Service team, I expect and appreciate world-class customer service in every interaction with service providers. I also strive to provide the same level of service to the internal and external customers I serve.
Prior to joining New York Life, I served in various roles at TIAA-CREF for 17 years, another financial services company, headquartered in NYC. At TIAA-CREF I began as an Accounting Clerk and was a member of various project teams and departments, working my way up to a Project Manager. In 2007 I decided to make a change that would provide me with a better work/life balance and this led me to New York Life.
I am a strong advocate for clear, concise, professional communications. I am a church elder and a member of the Communications Commission at the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown (NY) which affords me additional experience and increased knowledge of communications and leadership.
I am beginning a journey to learn the art of photography and get out when I can to capture "the moment" in nature landscapes.
I despise bullies in our schools, our communities, the workplace and our government.
I love a good joke and believe that I have a good sense of humor.
